Trustee Roles

Breast Cancer UK is looking for a new Trustee.

Can you help us in our mission to prevent breast cancer?

We are particularly looking for Trustee with fundraising experience.

If you know someone who has had breast cancer, or if you have had breast cancer yourself, you will know what a devastating disease it can be.   Our mission is to try and prevent breast cancer.   We believe more can be done to eliminate the environmental risk factors that may be making us more vulnerable to the disease.  But we need your help. The Board of Trustees plays a key role in the functioning and success of the charity.  As a Trustee to Breast Cancer UK you will be involved at a strategic level to ensure that the charity achieves the purpose for which it was set up.

Gold standard Fundraising Practices

2017 is predicted to be a tough and challenging year for charity fundraising.   We are looking for a Trustee with a fundraising background who can help us to ensure we operate the best possible standards of fundraising practice, whose creative ideas and knowledge of the fundraising sector can help us to grow and diversify income, so that we can work even harder to prevent breast cancer.

If you think you can help us then please do consider applying to become our dedicated Fundraising Trustee.

Time Commitment

Trustees are expected to attend four quarterly Board of Trustee meetings in London each year and also to join (and possibly chair) relevant Committees (ie the Fundraising Committee) which also meet 4 times a year via conference call.
Trustees are unremunerated; however, reasonable travel expenses can be claimed.

Being a Breast Cancer UK Trustee is a hugely rewarding opportunity:  you will be part of a group of people that is passionate about preventing breast cancer and developing ideas, activities and policy priorities that will help us to achieve our goals.
