A Tandem Skydive is an easy and enjoyable way to experience the thrills of skydiving. The Exhilarating Freefall combined with the peace and tranquillity of the parachute ride makes Tandem Skydiving a unique experience you will never forget.
After your safety briefing with an Experienced Instructor who will teach you everything you need to know, you will then be ready to take to the skies. On your pre-boarding call you will meet your Instructor who will prepare you for your skydive; fitting your jumpsuit, head gear, goggles (suitable for contact lenses/glasses), gloves and harness.
Once aboard our aircraft you will be securely harnessed to your instructor as you ride up to your chosen altitude. Our aircraft take approximately 10 minutes to climb to 15,000ft, giving time to take in views including the South and North Devon coastlines, Cornwall, Somerset, Dorset and the Bristol Channel to South Wales. Many people say we are one of the most scenic Drop Zones in the country!
Once at altitude, you will get the green light for ‘GO!’ and you will experience the most exhilarating, adrenaline fuelled moment of your life as you and your instructor edge towards the door and launch into the sky.
During freefall you will experience speeds of approximately 120mph. Feel the air on your face for up to a full minute, falling around 2 miles!! Enjoy the unparalleled freedom of this unforgettable sport.
As the canopy opens, you will become aware of the sudden tranquility as your speed dramatically decreases. This allows you to talk with your instructor, take in the expansive scenery during the 5 minute approximate parachute ride and of course, have a safe landing. Help your instructor steer the parachute around the sky before gliding back to the airfield.
The standard upper weight limit is 15 stone / 95 kilos fully clothed. Please call the office if you are between 15 and 18 stone.
The minimum age is 16 years and there is no upper age limit. If you are aged between 16 and 18 you must obtain a parent or guardians consent. Please bring these forms with you on the day of your jump (do not post), without these forms you will be unable to jump and you will lose your deposit.
