Write to your MP for Prevention Week
Published 18 Sep 2017
Today marks the start of prevention week. We’re trying to make as much noise as we can about the prevention of breast cancer.
This year, we have some questions for policymakers about the impact of Brexit.
Many of the laws that protect people from harmful chemicals originate in the EU. While not without its flaws, EU legislation has been responsible for some of the progress in protecting human health in the UK over the last forty years. For example, by improving air and water quality, and banning BPA in babies’ bottles.
We need to ensure that chemicals regulation doesn’t get forgotten in the Brexit negotiations.
Effective chemicals regulations are key to preventing exposure to carcinogens and other harmful chemicals linked to breast cancer.
We need as many people as possible to write to their MPs through our website. It will only take a few minutes and it could really make a difference.
Thank you for your support.
