Make your voice heard - Write to your MP
Write to your MP and ask them to support two parliamentary motions calling on the Government to act on breast cancer prevention.
The age-standardised rate of breast cancer rose by 24% in women between 1993-1995 and 2012-2014, even though around 1 in 4 breast cancer cases are preventable. We need more research into the causes of breast cancer and a proper strategy for prevention.
- Early day motion 416 calls for the Government to develop a cross-departmental strategy on the primary prevention of cancer
- Early day motion 443 calls for more funding for research into the causes of breast cancer.

Early Day Motions (EDMs) are motions submitted for debate in the House of Commons. Although the EDMs are unlikely to be debated, they will help draw attention to breast cancer prevention and demonstrate support in Parliament. The more MPs sign these EDMs, the more it shows Parliamentary support for action to prevent breast cancer.
You can find your MP below. Only your MP will be able to respond to your query.
Please do edit and personalise your email to your MP, perhaps tell them why breast cancer prevention is important to you - the more personal touches there are, the more of an impact it will have.
If you receive a response from your MP, please do let us know.
