About our Ambassador Programme
We have been running our Ambassador Programme since 2016, where our trained Ambassadors deliver breast cancer prevention talks to workplaces and groups.
We believe far more can be done to help prevent breast cancer by moving beyond breast cancer awareness to educating on simple ways each and every one of us can reduce our risk and take control of our health.

Health and Wellbeing of your staff, colleagues or group - How you can help!
Breast cancer rates are rising rapidly. Today, 1 in 7 women will be diagnosed with the disease at some point in their lives. We want all of the root causes of breast cancer to be tackled so that these rates reduce and you can help us achieve this.
We are keen to work with companies and groups who believe that the health and welfare of their staff, colleagues or group are key. With workplace health and wellbeing moving up the corporate agenda, more and more businesses now recognise the benefits of taking care of your most important asset – your staff.
The right health and wellbeing strategy has the power to help you lower absence rates, increase productivity and improve employee engagement by showing you put your staff’s needs first.
We believe that more people should know about the risk factors for breast cancer and be empowered by simple changes they can make to help themselves lead healthier lives.
Our Breast Cancer Prevention Talks
We have an important message to deliver..."Over a quarter of breast cancer cases are preventable".
One of our specially training Educational Ambassadors will deliver a 30-40 minute talk which will include the following:-
- an empowering PowerPoint presentation educating on 4 key changes we can all make to reduce our risk of breast cancer.
- short films from experts in Oncology, Dietetics and Movement
- time for questions
All talk attendees will be given a leaflet to find out more about the types of chemicals to avoid in their everyday lives.
A survey will follow the talks where attendees can also opt in to receive updates from Breast Cancer and follow us on social media.

Making a donation
All our Educational Ambassadors are volunteers who give their time willingly to empower others to make simple changes for their health and wellbeing. Breast Cancer UK does not charge for these talks but we are always very grateful for any donations received. We are a small national charity and we do not receive funding from government and we rely heavily on donations from members of the public to help us continue our work.
